There is something timeless about Firefly Grove. Maybe the “timeless” feeling occurs because of the mixture of seasonal trees and pines surrounding the property, or perhaps it’s the fireflies illuminating the evening sky as the tree frogs serenade you. Maybe it’s the picturesque moment of zen you experience while sitting on the front porch listening to the symphony of all of Mother Nature’s creatures in the middle of the night, as your family sleeps soundly without the worries, or troubles, that our fast paced lifestyles create. Life should be experienced at slower speeds and through the lenses of laughter, love and enjoyment - all of which Firefly Grove will evoke within those that stay here.

The house is cozy and warm - the open floor plan allows for everyone to be included in conversations, the laughter and all the stories that will be shared as you plan your adventures, or cook breakfast.  The kitchen makes meal preparation easy, and the island features chairs for 3 - for the Food Critic, the Wine Connoisseur and the Storyteller perhaps? Or, the Picky Eater, the Carnivore and the herbivore? No matter who is hanging out in the kitchen, stories can be shared with everyone. 
All the bedrooms are located upstairs, as are the washer and dryer for the home.  Upstairs you will find the Master bedroom hosts a king size bed and an en suite full bathroom. There is also a guest room with a queen bed, and a bunk room that has a set of twin-over-twin bunk beds. There is a spacious full bathroom that is shared between the guest and bunk room. Back on the first floor, you will find that there is a very comfortable pullout, located in the couch, in the living room for additional guests - or to fall asleep on, as you binge late night tv, or one of the many dvd’s that are there for your viewing pleasure. There is also a half bath on the first floor for quick clean-ups, and the last minute preening before a night out dancing at the free Riverfront Park concerts. 


Firefly Grove is located 10 miles south of the heart of South Haven, and a 10 minute walk away from the Pilgrim Haven Natural Area. At Pilgrim Haven you will find there is barrier-free access to the beach, several areas to go hiking - where you will find scenic views galore, so bring a camera; especially if you are there to watch the sunset!  In the spring, all the wildflowers you will find in the meadows and fields at Pilgrim Haven could make a very camera worthy backdrop to photograph your loved ones. In the winter, it is a great place to go snowshoeing, or cross country skiing; and in the summer, it’s a great place to go swimming, put in a paddle board, or to use the kayak you will find in the garage at Firefly Grove. Pilgrim Haven also is a good place to go in the mornings to find sea glass, and sometimes, a petoskey stone or two. However, one of the best kept local secrets for sea glass and petosky stones is at Deerlick Creek Park, located at 76773 13th Ave, another short 10 minute drive.

Firefly Grove has an amazing screened-in back deck that is perfect for sharing all the treasures you found while out exploring - the rocks, driftwood or maybe, all the delicious treats you found at DeGrandchamps Farms. DeGrandchamps Farms is one of many local blueberry farms in the area, but it’s only 2 minutes away by car from Firefly Grove and the first batch of blueberries are ready to pick in July at the earliest. One of the newest restaurants to open in the area, that has an amazing outdoor seating area, is located just up from Firefly Grove, on Blue Star Highway - The Lodge. Their food alone should call to your heart all year and make you want to come back and visit “ASAP.”  For a more quiet elegant evening out, you could make reservations at Tello Italian Bistro, or at Taste, home of small plates and martinis before walking to the beach to watch the magical sunset that South Haven is known for.

Firefly Grove is the perfect distance out of the City, letting you get away from the hustle and bustle of the tourism, but also close enough that you can take advantage of all the things that there are to do that draws that tourism in. South Haven is a fun Little City on the Lake where you will find something for everyone and something special just for you - and Firefly Grove is the place you want to call “Home Base,” as you make memories that will last a lifetime.
