At Firefly Grove, time doesn’t race - It wanders. It lingers in golden glimmers and drifts through the trees, nudging you to breathe deeper, talk slower, and notice more. It’s a rhythm that feels almost forgotten, until you’re right in the middle of it.
Step inside, and the warmth is instant. The open layout invites everything from rainy-day board games around the dining table to pancake breakfasts served hot off the griddle after a sunrise wander through Pilgrim Haven’s quiet beach paths. The kitchen is the heart of the home - Sunlight spilling across the countertops as someone flips flapjacks, the scent of fresh coffee drifting out to the screened-in porch. The island becomes the stage for all the best moments: where DeGrandchamps blueberries turn into cobbler, where a bottle from Cogdal Vineyards is opened “just because,” and where laughter fills the room long after the dishes are cleared. Whether you’re cooking, chatting, or sneaking bites with sticky fingers, the kitchen hums with the easy joy of being together.
Just beyond, the living room pulls you in with that effortless, lived-in comfort - The kind that makes you want to curl up and stay awhile. The soft sofa is a magnet for lazy afternoon naps and movie marathons, while oversized chairs invite you to sink in with a warm mug and a good read from the bookshelf. At its heart, the fireplace glows softly, crackling to life on cooler mornings or casting a gentle light across the room after a day wandering the South Pier. It’s a space that doesn’t demand attention - It simply welcomes it.
Upstairs, the bedrooms are soft places to land. The Master King Suite bathes in forest-filtered light and comes with a private bath that makes mid-afternoon naps feel like a luxury. The Guest Queen Suite is a quiet exhale, while the Kid’s Bunk Room is pure magic - Filled with flashlights, whispered stories, and the giggles that only happen after lights out. A shared full bath upstairs and a sleeper sofa downstairs keep things easy, while a half bath on the main floor handles quick freshen-ups before town adventures or trips for cones at Sherman’s.
Out on the screened-in porch, the magic continues. The gas fireplace flickers beneath the soft hum of cicadas, offering a cozy glow that stretches evenings into the kind you wish would never end. It’s the kind of space where you sip wine as the sun dips low, or steal a few quiet moments before the day begins - All while the scent of pine floats through the screen and laughter echoes from the yard.
Step into the backyard and you’ll find a scene straight out of a summer daydream. A wide, grassy lawn - Framed by tall, whispering trees - Is perfect for barefoot tag, lawn games, or an afternoon picnic spread. The wooden playset is a hit with kids, doubling as a fort, pirate ship, or whatever adventure they dream up. As evening settles in and the sky shifts to soft blue and gold, the fireflies start to appear - Flickering gently across the yard like nature’s own evening lights. Don’t forget the kayak in the garage - It’s perfect for a peaceful paddle on the Black River.
Firefly Grove isn’t in the thick of things, and that’s the beauty of it. Tucked just ten miles south of downtown South Haven, it’s far enough to hear the hush of nature, yet close enough to stroll Phoenix Street’s boutiques, uncover vintage treasures at Eagle Street Market, or savor cocktails beneath string lights at The Lodge. Spend your morning treasure-hunting at Deerlick Creek, your afternoon picking blueberries, and your evening under a sky full of stars and fireflies alike.
Firefly Grove isn’t just a place to stay - It’s a place to feel. To slow down. To find that rare kind of glow that doesn’t come from a screen or a switch, but from the joy of being exactly where you are. Let it be your hideaway, your heartbeat, your firefly-lit corner of South Haven.

Beautiful house, clean, spacious, best part was the backyard screened in porch, with the gas fire pit, like camping but no bugs! Very close to beach, and convenience stores, highly recommend for future vacations (June 2024)

We loved your home! Very cozy and private. Not too far from town and short walk to a private beach. Was just what we needed. We just wish we could have had another day or two. (August 2024)

We stayed here for a mini Fourth of July vacation. We had 4 adults and 1 toddler and cannot say enough great things about our stay! This is one of the coziest, well put together and thought out Airbnb homes we have ever stayed in. Everything was clean, kitchen was stocked with any cooking supplies you may need, linens were clearly freshly washed, bathrooms sparkled, you get the idea! There were nice touches throughout like books in the kids room, a dvd player with dvds, and a tabletop fire pit on the screened in porch. The area was quiet and peaceful while still being only a <10 min drive from downtown South Haven. We had such a lovely time and would strongly recommend this stay to anybody looking! (July2024)

I loved how communicative the team was. Reassurance was made so I knew any issues would be promptly addressed. I did have to contact someone one time and wasnt sure the outcome. I was pleasantly surprised. My daughter lost her new toy under a locked door. I asked if someone could get the toy and they did!! We went to the beach and when we came back, it was on the counter!!

I was very pleased with the property. It was very accommodating. There were kitchen and bathroom essentials. Propane for the grill. Beach toys. Kids toys in the bedroom. Sound machines. Extra blankets. The couches were super comfy. The beds were great.

Everyone was accommodating and friendly. Way better than using VRBO.

We loved the nature trail just down the street- we found it easily but could see how someone may miss it. A map in the house would be wise. That beach isnt for swimming but great for rock seeking. The house was quiet and peaceful. Big enough for two adults and 3 kids for sure. The kids loved the play set and fire table. We loved how close we were to south haven. The new restaurant down the steeet was great and hardly any wait!
