Question: this is the third year that the code for the deadbolt has been the same. Anyone who has stayed there can get back in at anytime (unless the code is unique for us). Theres no security latch for the door for nighttime.

The Shores team are friendly, responsive and caring. I have rented with this company for over 20 years. Their rentals are well stocked with supplies: toilet paper, paper towels, coffee filters...

Waters Edge is a great location. The community is a bit hard on the renters. We are used to it, but you might want to warn new renters. We were asked multiple times who we were (we dutifully had our flag out).

Amanda was helpful when she called to say the condo we reserved was not available after all and explained why. We were disappointed, but she offered us another one with earlier check in time and I think it turned out for the best. We were on ground level and steps to the beach.

Daun was so pleasant to work with. I also appreciated that she let us stay 4 days. Given Covid, we were not sure if we were coming or how long we wanted to stay. We felt uneasy about leaving home, but she made us feel at ease. Also the other staff members were very friendly when we came by the office to sign the pool usage form.

We loved the location of Water's Edge 1. What a treat to be steps from their private beach. We ate most meals outside because of Covid and had a lovely view of Lake Michigan and the sunsets. Easy walk to downtown too!
I'm not sure where to put this comment but does Water's Edge ever clean their beach. There was trash and lots of ocean matter that was never tended to. I saw the building next door had an employee clean their beach.
